SQL Day 2012
is a special event organized for birthday anniversary by the Polish SQL Server User Group (PLSSUG). This time we celebrate our fifth birthday. Again, welcome to the capital of Lower Silesia, Wroclaw, a city of many cultures, innovation and many of Meetings. Wroclaw is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Poland. Located at the foot of the Sudeten on the Oder River, traversed by its numerous tributaries and canals, is a unique city of 12 islands and over a hundred bridges. It is the greenest city in Polish – an inhabitant of 25 m2 of green (not counting the green housing estate). Wrocław is constantly changing, building, expanding and modernizing. I was in a familiar, albeit with revised site recently converted of Krakowska Street, in the modern halls College of Education, with the participation of Synergy Trainings we arrange our meeting.
This year’s conference formula has totally changed – both based on surveys of participants, the opinion of the organizers and good advice of friends. This year the conference will last three days, during which participants will be able to take part in several workshops (ie Pre-Conf), led by speakers of Polish and invited guests from abroad. On Thursday (the day of workshop) will lead their classes: our main guest Denny Cherry, among others Grzegorz Stolecki, Chris Testa-O’Neill, Łukasz Grala, Klaus Aschenbrenner, Jen Stirrup, Maciej Pilecki or Paweł Wilkosz. The other two days (Friday and Saturday), we invite you to two simultaneus thematic tracks: DBA / SEC and DEV / BI, where you can listen to six sessions each day, led by such speakers as Jen Stirrup, Pawel Potasiński, Marek Adamczuk, Maciej PileckiLukasz Grala, Marcin Szeliga,Krzysztof Stachyra,Włodek Bielski, Neil Hambly and Ramesh Meyyappan. These are not, of course, all the names, but only the announcement of some of them.
Changes in the conference is more, because we plan to meet Friday evening at SQLDay 2012 Community Night, where you will be able to get to know, talk with the speakers, make new contacts, and maybe even start a new business. There will be plenty of time to meet friends, fierce discussions, expert zone, a mobile bookstore and a lot of interesting prizes. We believe that the new formulation of the conference will appeal to you and you arrive at the largest numbers in this year’s event in Poland oriented for the Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
